Church Leadership Conference for rectors, vestry members, and other church leaders who are ready to move their parish beyond the status quo

If you’re ready to create a missional culture at your church—one where parishioners are empowered to live out God’s mission in their community—Kanuga’s 2012 Church Leadership Conference is a must-attend event.

Explore real life, practical ways to transform your parish into a missional church. It’s time to stop doing church better and start being church better.

Workshops and group discussions will offer strategies for shifting the parish culture to support a more outward, community focus, with an emphasis on building parish enthusiasm for this shift as well as on helping individuals bring a missionary mindset to their daily lives.

Particular attention will be paid to the two primary ingredients for culture-building: creating a shared language and discerning and celebrating God’s call to your congregation.

What you will learn

  • what the missional movement involves
  • specific strategies for shifting your ministry into an external focus
  • new strategies for helping parishioners integrate mission with their life and work
  • how others are shifting their ministry to be more missional
  • how everyday and church conversations can be intentionally missional

What you will gain

  • new language for communicating your parish’s missional transformation
  • ideas for reallocating resources
  • strategies for fast-forwarding your missional engagement with the community
  • initiatives to help parishioners see life as a mission trip and bloom where they are
  • how to take the conference experience home with you so others can join in
